“Confidence is the main key in establishing a service business. It would not certainly be easy to do that as many challenges await us in the process,” Nike Premata, an alumna of the Communication Study Program at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus), uttered.

Nike, the CEO of Phi Creative Wedding Organizer, has been pursuing this business since February 2020. Initially, she joined a famous wedding organizer namely Mahkota Empire. However, with a heavy consideration, she decided to quit as she wanted to continue her studies by looking for scholarships.

“Not long after, my older sibling, who also works in a wedding organizer called Feel Ough Photography, recommended me to start my own wedding organizer and tie a partnership with them,” she explained.

In early 2021, Nike decided to establish the Phi Creative Wedding Organizer. With the name Phi Creative, she hoped that her business would not only engage in the wedding event but also in the music and typography industry as well. It also holds the concept of creating moments by providing the best ideas to the bride and her groom in terms of documentation and the elegance of the wedding. Not only that, but Phi Creative could also serve as a platform to reduce the unemployment rate.

“Whenever we host a wedding event, we normally conduct meetings as per the requirements of the bride and her groom at least three times to unify the agreed vendors. With the current circumstance, implementing the health protocol is necessary by providing facemasks, gloves, and hand sanitizers,” Nike, born on August 29th, 1997, in Semarang, revealed.

Despite being a newcomer in the wedding organizer community, Phi Creative manages to successfully host various wedding events. To promote her business, Nike utilizes her Instagram account, @phicreat_ive, and contacts her colleagues directly. She usually encounters problems such as urgent changes from the consumers. However, she and her team could adapt to those changes.

“For those who want to pursue this sector and learn its basics, you could just contact our Instagram. We are always open to those who are willing to learn, we could even also hold training and meeting programs,” she added.

Nike, the former Chief of the Dian Nuswa Choir Student Activity Unit for the 2017-2018 period, continued her studies in the Department of Communication Science at Udinus with the support given by her parents who oversaw her potential. Nike said that communication was not the only thing she learned in the department.

“Coincidentally, I also happened to take a business minor so I have gained many pieces of knowledge to implement in my business. I have also earned countless skills such as public speaking, advertising, lobbying, and organizing an event for a whole cohort,” Nike concluded. (Humas Udinus/Haris. Foto: Dok. Pribadi)
