DESPITE BEING FULL OF ACTIVITIES, MEGA IS ABLE TO MANAGE HER TIME TO WORK IN A LABORATORY
Most students only follow the flow of their life, that is studying like ordinary students do. However, Mega Mawarti (23) does exactly the opposite, she dedicates her time as a student and as a lab officer in the Health Science Faculty’s Laboratory.
Mega is a Medical Records and Information Student at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus), who works as a lab officer in a laboratory in the Health Science Faculty. Her job is to prepare and take care of lab tools, as well as accompany lecturers during a class taking place in the lab. She does this to remedy her monotonous life as a student who only attends classes and does assignments. “My motivation is to shape others’ passions to be an expert in the field of Medical Records, particularly in the matters of coding and using computers,” Mega, born on January 10, 1996, explained.
Not only does she work as a lab attendant, but she also possesses the responsibility of being an admin in the Health Science Faculty. Preparing lab tools, serving as a lecturer assistant, and instructing other lab attendants are her daily jobs. “As days pass by, I become more motivated to study hard and seek new experiences, and if possible, I would like to continue my studies to the postgraduate level. Hence, time management is important for me both as a student and an admin.,” she uttered.
Mega, who is fond of reading, claimed that she held little to no difficulty in allocating her time for work and classes. To her, it is important to fully utilize our spare time as she normally does her assignments on weekends.
Despite having thought that she made the incorrect decision to major in the Medical Record, she still pursues and dives in this field of study, which she often finds challenging. “I do be fond of challenging stuff, particularly coding in the Medical Records field. The more I study, the more I realize that I am fortunate enough to study here as the Department of Medical Records is still fairly rare, and Udinus is among the universities that provide this study program,” she revealed.
