HAVING ESTABLISHED A MILK BUSINESS KNOWN AS ‘SUSU SEDUNIA’, PRITA FEBRIANA: IT TAKES INNOVATION TO MAINTAIN A BUSINESS

Establishing a business could serve as a secondary source of income. Prita Febriana Hapsari, the owner of ‘Susu Sedunia’, also does the same thing.

 

Her fondness for cooking caused her to initiate her business. Prita, an alumna of the English Literature Study Program at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus), has even opened a franchise with 20 outlets scattered around Semarang, and 53 outlets in total. Prita, who also works as a Relationship Manager at Bank BRI, did not initially expect her business to turn into a franchise. “Alhamdulillah, the products are widely accepted by many people in various communities. Some of them even became regulars and encouraged me to open a franchise,” she revealed.

 

Prita and her team eventually challenged themselves to respond to that encouragement. She stated that maintaining a franchise business required tons of preparation. “Just imagine how complex it is to find employees, cow farmers, fruit suppliers, powder suppliers, vendor booths, and cups with intriguing packaging. On top of that, distributing the products would also be a difficult problem as well.

 

After conducting market research for more than a year, Prita triumphantly claimed her success alongside ‘Susu Sedunia’. In maintaining her business, she normally implements a promotion strategy to form brand awareness for consumers. Furthermore, she aims to encourage the public that ‘Susu Sedunia’ is the primary choice.

 

The next strategy is innovation. Innovation in the digital era is mandatory to market to youths. Social Media is slowly becoming a primary need surrounding the public, which is why it is the perfect platform to market various products in the digital world. Through her Instagram account @susu_sedunia, Prita created well-designed feeds that attract consumers.

 

She also revealed that she did not only learn hard skill-oriented courses, but she also learned soft skill-oriented ones including entrepreneurship, public speaking, and public relations. Additionally, the Tourism course also helped her career both as an employee and employer.
