Aiming to instill an entrepreneurial mindset in students, faculty members of Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) gave a training program. Using the theme of ‘3 Days Entrepreneur, Challenge Your Passion and Ambition,’ this program was participated by 140 students for three consecutive days, starting from Tuesday, February 28th, 2023.

The program, taking place in the coding workshop located on the sixth floor of the H building, featured three speakers, mainly consisting of faculty members, to provide entrepreneurial viewpoints from both academic and practical standpoints. Those three students were Ardiawan Bagus Haris, S.Kom., M.Sc. (the Owner of Dhadhu Board Café), Agung Sedayu, S.E., M.M., (a member of the Entrepreneurship Unit at Udinus), and Zahrotul Umami, M.I.Kom. (an Entrepreneurship Lecturer in the Department of Communication Science).

On that occasion, Dr. Ahmad Zainul Fanani, S.Si., the Vice Dean I of Academic Affairs, was also present and greeted the audience. According to him, this training program served as an attempt for the Computer Science Faculty to develop an environment for students to study and think logically. Additionally, he also stated that this program could connect students to hone their problem-solving skills.

“Developing a new culture must undergo a long process, and through this program, we hope for our students to implement this knowledge to establish a business,” he hoped.

Filmada Ocky Saputra, M.Eng., the coordinator of this program, stated that the program ran with enthusiasm. This particular enthusiasm was embodied in the form of several questions asked by students. For those three days, participants collaborated with each other, allowing the program to create a cooperative atmosphere within them.

“A group consisted of three to five students scattered from various departments in the Computer Science Faculty. With their different field of expertise, students are expected to support each other in solving problems surrounding them,” he added.

Meanwhile, one of the speakers, Ardiawan Bagus Harisa, S.Kom., M.Sc., explained that there were a series of learning materials students had to attend. In the beginning, they were taught to form basic ideas. As the program continued, students were trained to analyze their ability to realize those aforementioned ideas.

“In the following step, every group would be tasked to write their ideas in a formal document, particularly a proposal. Thus, their ideas could be more solid as proposals are the main key for them to embark on their journey in the industry,” he explained.

Furthermore, they were also given several entrepreneurial examples in the industry. Also, there were the Student Entrepreneurial Guidance Program and financial. (Humas Udinus/Haris. Foto: Dok. FIK Udinus)
