The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology encouraged Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) to be an internationally acclaimed university. These words of encouragement were said by Dr. Lukman, S.T., M.Hum (the Director of Institutional and Coordinator of Academic University Arrangement and Strengthening).

On the same occasion, Dr. Lukman also stated that there were many students with the potential to bring Udinus to become an internationally acclaimed university. In the near future, the service industry will eventually become prominent within the Indonesian economy, allowing a change to occur in the labor market. For this reason, every university must adjust its curriculum to align with the Independent Campus (MBKM) education system.

From its track record, Udinus is among the one percent of 4000 universities in Indonesia that have contributed to the Informatics Technology sector. Furthermore, Lukman also revealed the policies and strategies employed by the General Directorate of Higher Education that have led universities to be globally standardized. One of those strategies was to improve the quality of lecturers and educators.

“We would also like to push Udinus to establish new departments, as well as new doctoral programs to further enhance the Indonesian education system. To do this, we suggest several strategies for the campus to employ, including improving the quality of research, innovations, and community services from both students and faculty members,” he explained.

In an attempt to become a globally standardized university, Udinus held dissemination concerning the strategic alliance enhancement. The dissemination was officially by Prof. Dr. Ir. Edi Noersasongko, M.Kom., the Chancellor of Udinus. The event discussed the utilization of Siadin4 with a sub-application for collecting data and noting activities conducted by the campus.

The dissemination took place in the auditorium located on the sixth floor of the I building, with two speakers being present. Those two speakers were Aulia Ni’matu Fajar (the Coordinator of Academic University Arrangement and Strengthening) and Adhiral Refaddin, S.IP., M.P.P., (a staff member from the Higher Education Service Institution of Region VI.

Prof. Dr. Ir. Edi Noersasongko, M.Kom., the Chancellor of Udinus, said that he would always be committed to having various departments and faculties collaborate with other institutions. Additionally, the chancellor also expressed his utmost gratitude to the Ministry of Education for supporting Udinus to become an internationally acclaimed university.

“We have formed several strategies and developed various supporting systems aimed to improve human resources, as well as facilities,” he concluded.
