As the host of the 2023 Independent Campus Fair, Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) successfully brought rousing enthusiasm to the event. The event was attended by 150 chancellors from various universities in the Higher Education Service Institute (LLDIKTI) Region VI Central Java. All those chancellors engaged in a discussion with each other.

The Independent Campus Roadshow Fair was organized to bridge the stakeholders of the Independent Campus Program from various sectors including education, business, and industry. Upon its success in the first half of 2022, the Independent Campus Fair will be hosted in three different cities in Indonesia starting from Semarang, followed by Gorontalo and Tangerang.

The Independent Campus Fair taking place at Udinus consisted of many activities such as sharing session between partners and alumni of the ‘Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka’ program (MBKM), book reviews, and a panel discussion held after the opening session which took place on the third floor of the E building.

During his interview, Prof. Dr. Ir. Edi Noersasongko, M.Kom, the Chancellor at Udinus, welcomed the appointment of Udinus as the host of the 2023 Independent Campus Fair with great enthusiasm. According to The Chancellor, this event would open the opportunity for the campus to keep coming up with creative innovations.

On the same occasion, The Chancellor added that Udinus had organized various MBKM programs independently. He also hoped that other universities also possessed the same initiative as well.

“Hopefully, through the support given by the MBKM partners, all universities in Central Java could execute this program properly,” The Chancellor said in front of the media crew.

The Independent Campus Fair, which started on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, also showcased various expos both from the campus and outside the campus. The Udinus Campus’ Electric Pedicab (Becik-KU), the Gamelan Robot, and the ‘Si Warik’ animated show made an appearance on the scene.

At that event, the Implementation Officer, from the Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology, explained that the MBKM program had the essence in transforming the college institutions to be one step ahead. Hopefully, the program will not only encourage college institutions to produce more graduates but also enhance students’ potential, thus they could be the foremost upon graduating.

“I hereby express my gratitude to all parties involved at the 2023 Independent Campus Fair. Through this event, we may share experiences, earn knowledge, and strengthen our passion for transforming our universities for the better future,” Prof. Ir. Nizam, M.Sc., DIC, Ph.D., IPU, ASEAN.
