Upon submitting various documents and being visited on numerous occasions, two departments in the Medicine Faculty at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) finally achieved the B Accreditation. This accreditation is listed on the decree issued by the Indonesian Independent Accreditation of Medical Higher Education Agency (LAM-PTKes) several weeks ago.

As the newest faculty at Udinus, the Medicine Faculty has two departments under its possession, including Medical Professional Education and Undergraduate Medical. The B Accreditation was in accordance with the decree no. 0034/LAM-PTKes/Akr.PB/Sar/I/2024 for the Medical Professional Education Department. As for the Undergraduate Medical Department, the accreditation was listed in decree no. 0035/LAM-PTKes/Akr.PB/Pro/I/2024.

Furthermore, Dr. dr. Hendriani Selina, SpA(K)., MARS., (the Dean of the Medicine Faculty) stated that this B Accreditation indicated the improving quality of Udinus in various aspects. Those aspects encompassed faculty members, facilities, and the partnership the faculty tied with various hospitals. Currently, the Medicine Faculty has tied collaborations with the Bhayangkara Hospital, which serves as the main hospital for educational purposes, the Gunawan Mangunkusumo Hospital, the Tugurejo Hospital, and the Diponegoro National Hospital.

“We, as the academic community in the Medicine Faculty, proudly welcome the acknowledgment from the Indonesian Independent Accreditation of Medical Higher Education Agency (LAM-PTKes). Our hard work during the form creation and visitation processes finally came to fruition once the B Accreditations for our faculty was issued.

Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Ir. Edi Noersasongko, M.Kom. (the Chancellor of Udinus) also warmly welcomed the publication of these accreditations. Furthermore, he also hoped for these accomplishments to motivate both faculty members and students alike to improve the academic quality within the scope of the Medicine Faculty.

“The next challenge is to improve the quality of both departments in various aspects. Being the newest faculty at Udinus, the Medicine Faculty still has yet to reach its highest potential, there are still many aspects to improve within this faculty. Hopefully, the Medicine Faculty can eventually contribute to the development of the medical field in Indonesia. (Humas Udinus/Haris. Foto: Humas Udinus)
