The Humanities Faculty at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) once again dispatched students to participate in a foreign internship program. At the moment, eleven students from the Japanese Literature Department at Udinus will work in five different cities in Japan as interns.

In this program, those eleven students will work for a year. Dr. Bayu Aryanto, S.S., the Head of the Japanese Literature Department, stated that they would not depart at the same time. This is because it depends on the visa.

“They will not depart on the same day. Some of them will even depart by next week. It all depends on the visa,” he explained.

Furthermore, he revealed that this internship program would be converted into an Independent Campus program. For a semester, those students will get 20 worth of credit hours through this program.

“In total, there are 40 credit hours for a year (two semesters). This program also involves five corporations, which already signed an MoU with Udinus. The partnership will last for a year,” he continued.

To participate in this program, students must possess an understanding of the Japanese language, which must also be internationally standardized. Dr. Bayu Aryanto also emphasized these students were proficient in the Japanese language for daily speaking. Moreover, they had also been internationally certified.

“Hopefully, by the time they return, they already possess experience for them to appeal to the industry, allowing our alumni to essentially dominate the job market. The job market may not only encompass the domestic one but also international ones,” he hoped.

Those eleven students come from different cohorts and will be dispatched to different cities. In Saga, there are Ignatius Aldo and F. Rianto Dwi Satrio, both are students of the 2021 cohort. In Okayama, two students will be dispatched, namely, Bayu Wisnu Wiguna and Anggoro Margi Pangestu, both of whom are students of the 2021 cohort.

Furthermore, Dwi Lubistira, a student of the 2021 cohort, will be dispatched to Nagano. Meanwhile, four Japanese Literature students of the 2022 cohort will collectively be put in charge in Hokkaido. Those four students are Daffa Aulia Adzkaar Nafis, Fahraz Ramdhani Saputri, Thomas Agra Ananta, and Muhammad Alfi Fajrun. Furthermore, Anggoro Margi Pangestu, a student of the 2021 cohort, and Nadia Winda Marga Ayu, a student of the 2023 cohort, will work in Fukuoka.

Nadia Winda Marga Ayu, who will work at Yakiniku Sakai Holding Fukuoka as an intern, claimed that she had been preparing various documents for this program. Those documents encompass a passport and visa.

“The fact that I can test my Japanese language skills motivates me to participate in this internship program. Hopefully, this program will allow me to improve my Japanese language skills, gain experience, and implement the Japanese work ethic in Indonesia upon returning,” she concluded.
