Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinusreceived a visitation from the Public Relations and Management Bureau at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS). This opportunity was utilized by both parties to improve their performances in certain aspects, particularly public relations. This was done to prepare for the 2024 General Directorate of Higher Education, Research, and Technology Public Relations Award (Ditjen Diktiristek). The award will be hosted shortly, discussing the quality of public relations aspects from both parties.

The representatives from UMS were hospitably welcomed by the Public Relations and Protocols at Udinus. The meeting took place in the conference room located in the H building at Udinus on Monday, July 8th, 2024. On that occasion, a public relations team from the Higher Education Agency Service (LLDIKTI) of Region VI Central Java was also present to instruct both parties concerning the awarding shortened as AHD.

The Head of Public Relations and Protocols at Udinus, Dwi Utaminingsih, S.Kom., M.M., gently greeted the arrival of the representatives from UMS. She further revealed that the campus was honored by this visitation, as Udinus received a visitation from a campus thrice its age.

“To us, a visitation from Mr. Budi is almost like a father visiting his children. In addition to AHD, Udinus also learned various activities relating to public relations on campus,” she uttered with a smile.

On the other hand, Dr. Budi Santoso—the Head of the Public Relations and Media Division at UMS—exclaimed that this visitation served as a strategic step, particularly to prepare for the upcoming 2024 AHD.

“Hopefully, our visit can ultimately incite a collaboration with Udinus. Thus, we can improve the quality of our public relations,” he emphasized.

At the meeting, Aditya Tegar Satria—the Head of the Public Relations Team at the Higher Education Agency Service (LLDIKTI) of Region VI Central Java—appreciated the effort shown by both Udinus and UMS. According to him, this meeting would help both campuses prepare for the AHD 2024.

“Hopefully, the meeting can be held more often to strengthen the bonds between both universities, as well as to share knowledge,” he concluded.

The visitation, which was followed by a discussion session, discussed the evaluation and strategies implemented in facing the 2024 AHD as representatives from Central Java. In other words, this visitation did not only serve as a meeting but also as a symbol of creativity and close bonds between the two universities. (Humas Udinus/Haris. Foto: Humas Udinus)
