The rapid technological advancement pushes the emergence of developers to compete in inventing high-quality technological innovations, as well as become relevant solutions with the necessity in the digital era. In response to this, The Informatics Student Association (HMTI) Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) hosted the 2025 Hi Technology.

Lasting for two days, the event was officially opened by the Head of the Department of Informatics at Udinus Dr. Edy Mulyanto, S.Si., M.Kom., on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. The annual event had two different series of main events, including the Software and Hardware Fair, as well as a seminar entitled Open Talk. The seminar featured Anjas Maradita, an AI Content Creator, and Adi Victory, a film director.

During his opening Speech, Dr. Edy Mulyanto reported that the theme of the event was ‘Driving Technology Innovation to Lead the Era of Digital. The theme encourages developers to prepare for the digital era with works that could influence technological advancements. Not only that, interest in learning technology also generally improved among youths as the era unfolds.

“Hopefully, this event could serve as a positive experience for all participants. Not only as a publication recommendation, but also as a medium to speed up the advancement of technological projects,” he revealed.

Meanwhile, the Head Organizer of the 2025 Hi-Tech, Alvin Deo Ardiansyah, explained that participants were free to choose two different categories, including software and hardware. Software works are in the form of AIs, websites, mobile websites, video games, and desktops. While hardware often entails students’ work in the form of advanced technology like IoT.

“There were 28 teams in total at the exhibition, with one of them being from Bekasi, West Java. This year, there have been several developer teams showcasing video games,” he explained.

Constructive Feedback

One of the participants, Feby Akliji Rofiah from the Pixel Pixies 2 team, admitted that he was facilitated in showcasing his team’s work at the event. Feby, who was an Informatics student at Udinus, designed a 3D horror survival video game entitled Sky Heaven.

“At the exhibition, I can interact and garner feedback from the visitors. Many of these visitors are apparently not amateurs, as some of them know many things about IT. So, we can learn much from their feedback,” he uttered.

Moreover, Feby also mentioned that there are countless insights he learned at the exhibition. “I became so facilitated through this event. I also learned out-of-the-box insight and feedback from users. Hopefully, in the future, this event can garner an even larger audience and visitors so participants can learn more insight,” he concluded. (Humas Udinus/Penulis: Ika. Editor: Haris. Foto: Dok.
