Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinusonce again attained an astounding accomplishment as an innovative university in Indonesia. During the 2024 ranking, Udinus was regarded as the third most innovative campus. The ranking itself is conducted by Scimago Institutions Rankings (SIR) 2024.
During the 2023-2024 period, Udinus came up with dozens of innovations. These innovations are products of collaboration between students and faculties. The innovations encompass the Electric Pedicab of Udinus Campus (Becik-KU), the Chess Robot of Udinus Campus (Roca-KU), the Sekar Nuswantoro Gamelan Robot, the Gamelan Metaverse, E-Gamelan, and the newest innovation, AR/VR Budhara and the VR Museum. Prof. Dr. Ir. Edi Noersasongo, M.Kom., the Chancellor of Udinus, pridefully stated that this accomplishment was a fruit of dedication from the academic community, particularly in producing innovations. “Being regarded as the third most innovative campus at the 2024 SIR puts Udinus as the third university with the best innovations in Indonesia,” the chancellor stated.
The chancellor also hoped for this accomplishment to motivate the academic community to keep innovating and contributing to Indonesia. “Hopefully, Udinus can be more active in producing positive innovations for the general public,” he added.
This innovation also puts Udinus in first place in the university with the best innovations in Central Java.
Scimago Institutions Rankings is an academic and research ranking institution. The ranking is particularly done using three indicators, including research performance, research innovation, and social impacts inflicted by website visibility. In the 2024 edition of the SIR ranking, the social factor has been modified by inputting several new indicators to reflect the social effects in a more specific way.
Those indicators include a generation of new knowledge relating to the sustainable development goals issued by the UN, as well as women’s participation in research and results used in creating and improving public policies. (Humas Udinus/Alex. Foto: Gedung G Udinus. Humas Udinus)
