In an attempt to reinforce its research collaboration aspect, the Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) partnered with the National Research and Innovation Agency. As an initial step, both parties had coordinated to ripened the Memorandum of Understanding between both parties.
The partnership was marked with a discussion session hosted on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. It took place in the conference room on the first floor of the I building at Udinus. It was attended by representatives from both parties. From Udinus, the discussion was led by the Head of the Industrial Engineering Department, Dr. Herwin Suprijono, M.T. Meanwhile, BRIN sent Turnad Lenggo Ginta, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., on its behalf.
Herwin explained that the partnership mainly focused on producing outputs in the form of journal articles that would eventually be published in international journals. In addition, through this partnership, scholarships will be offered to faculty members who want to continue their studies to pursue higher degrees. This was done to improve their teaching quality.
“We have also agreed to host the Research and Innovation for Indonesia to Modernize, or RIIM. BRIN would later provide facilities in the form of partnerships with Udinus, research institutions, and the government. It is done to come up with a solution based on science and technology,” Herwin uttered on Friday, February 14, 2025.
On that occasion, several other faculty members were also present, including Dr. Ir. Ratih Setyaningrum, S.T., IPM. —the Vice Dean of the Engineering Faculty, and Ir. Pramudi Arsiwi, S.T., M.Sc., IPM., ASEAN Eng.—the Coordinator of Partnership at the Engineering Faculty of Udinus.
Meanwhile, Pramudi revealed that the Engineering Faculty at Udinus was chosen as a partner for BRIN, as it held the immense potential to develop new innovations, particularly involving students, faculty members, and researchers from BRIn in various research projects in the field of science and technology.
“We would like to provide a lab during our research partnership. Hopefully, this collaboration could produce a solution for various problems, including food security, renewable energy, and transformation through group research,” he hoped. (Humas Udinus/Haris. Foto: Dok. Humas FT)
