BNNP CONDUCTS URINE TEST AT UDINUS
National Narcotics Board of Central Java Province (BNNP) just held urine test at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (UDINUS) in order to support the government to prevent and eradicate the abuse and the circulation of drugs. The test was conducted on four different spots, on the 1st floor of A building, on the 1st floor of D building, on the 2nd floor of G building, and on the 1st floor of H building.
UDINUS’ Rector, Prof. Dr. Edi Noersasongko, M.Kom and the whole range of academicians, from lecturers and also employees participated on this urine test. Urine test is conducted regularly once a year for the employees and once in three months for the students. Those who confirmed abusing drugs will be given a strict punishment from the university such as suspension or dropout.
Prof. Dr. Edi Noersasongko M. Kom said that "The test is a proof of UDINUS’ concerned towards drugs abuse. We perform urine test to the students as well as lecturers and also employees. We also keep the schedule and the spots of the test in secret and randomly," he said on Tuesday, May 8th, 2018.
In addition, the Head of Central Java BNNP Prevention Section, Jamaluddin Maruf, S.fam, Apt said that UDINUS' commitment towards drug eradication was very good and had been done as early as possible. He hoped that UDINUS would continue to focus on fighting drugs abuse in the society and educate them to avoid it. "UDINUS has become a drug free campus and it must be maintained by keep conducting urine test routinely, so that young generation can be free from drug abuse, "he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of UDINUS Public Relation, Agus Triyono, S. Sos, MSi said that as a campus that predicated drug-free campus, UDINUS would continue to socialize the dangers of drugs and routinely conducted urine test as a concrete action.
