‘God will always reward our hard work,’ this principle has always been applied by Richa Kusuma Dewi Ratna, an Undergraduate Accounting Student at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus). She emerged as the sole candidate of the Student Creativity Program (PKM) team on that campus whose paper had been chosen at the National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS).

Richa uttered that this accomplishment began as an offer from her fellow organization members to work on the Student Creativity Program paper. Initially, she did not expect to pass and became a candidate from Udinus to represent the campus at the National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS).

Richa also added that she was first introduced to the Student Creativity Program upon joining the Reasoning Student Unit. “Reasoning was what bridged me to the National Student Scientific Week,” Richa added.

She gave several tricks in writing a paper or program for the Student Creativity Program (PKM), including looking at an idea taken from our local environment that has not gotten enough attention. “First things first, you can look around and learn to conserve your local environment,” Richa shared.

Not only is she an accomplished student at that event but she also teaches as a tutor for elementary and middle schoolers. “I have been a tutor since high school for all kinds of subjects; initially, I was only willing to help tutor my neighbors, but it turned out to be satisfactory as tutoring could teach me a thing or two about being independent,” Richa added.

Richa admitted that she had been trusted to tutor. To this day, she has taught more than thirty students. “I implement the ‘come-and-go’ system, so it depends on their parental policies. Moreover, I am still busy working on my thesis at the moment, so I had to reduce the number of students,” Richa shared.

She must reduce her teaching time so she can focus on her thesis. Despite having been struggling to manage time for campus and teaching activities to not collide with each other, Richa claimed that she enjoyed her activities and still could focus on her campus activities.

Richa encouraged her fellow students to dig their inner potential to dive into the industry. “Optimizing your skills is a necessity, particularly as college students with many more things to explore, starting from trying to gather experience for the upcoming work life,” (Humas Udinus/Almira.
