525 Students from Various High Schools and Universities Participated in the 2024 National Education Day Competition at Udinus

Commemorating the National Education Day on May 2nd, 2024, Universitas Dian Nuswantoro Universitas Dian Nuswantoro, (Udinus) hosted a competition with three categories, including Twibbon, Chanting, and Vlog both for high school students and the general public.

The competition obliged the participants to send their work in the form of videos or pictures depending on the category. Those sent works would later be assessed by various judges. The finalists of those three categories were also required to come to the third floor of the E building at Udinus to attend the announcement of the winners.

Before this, participants had also submitted their works from February 10th to March 16th, 2024. Their works were judged from March 18th to 28th, 2024, with the finalists being announced on April 25th, 2024.

Dr. Rindra Yusianto, S.Kom, MT., the Head of the Committee of this competition, stated that this event was held as a form for Udinus to commemorate National Education Day. The participants mainly consisted of students from various high schools in Indonesia.

“The participants mostly came from Central Java and East Java, with West Sumatera being the farthest. Through this event, we hope they can hone their competitive nature, allowing them to be an excellent young generation,” he explained.

Several performances from student units also lighten up the finale, including the Dance From Udinus unit and the Gita Dian Nuswa Choir Group. In addition to announcing the winners, they also launched the Sibiling app, which was specifically aimed at counseling teachers from Indonesia. The event was opened by the opening speech presented by Prof. Dr. Ir. Edi Noersasongko, M.Kom., (the Chancellor of Udinus), with various staff members also attending it.

Appreciation from the Chairman of the BPTIK of Central Java

Kristiawan Nurdianto, S.Kom., M.Kom., (the Chairman of the BPTIK of Central Java) also made an appearance and congratulated the winners of the event. According to him, this event served as a platform for high school students to further hone their skills and explore their creativity.
