In this momentum of Ramadan, activists at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro, (Udinus) utilized this holy month to further deepen their bonds. To do this particular task, the activists held a group iftar with representatives from all student organizations on campus.

The group iftar took place in the auditorium located on the third floor of the E building, on Thursday, March 28th, 2024. In addition to the group iftar, there was also a discussion session organized by the Student Executives at Udinus. Both the group iftar and the discussion have been an annual tradition hosted in the holy month of Ramadan.

Muhammad Khoirul Anam, the President of the Student Executives at Udinus, mentioned that this activity also aimed to bond all student organizations together. Through this precious moment, he also encouraged all activists to collectively seek the blessing of Ramadan.

“This iftar has always been a moment for us to gather in this holy month, as bonds are what essentially form an organization,” he revealed.

Not only was the iftar attended by activists, but Dr. Kusni Ingsih, M.M., the Vice Chancellor III of Student Affairs, was also present on that occasion, accompanied by other staff members from the Student Affairs Bureau. During her opening speech, Dr. Kusni expressed her gratitude for being invited to the iftar.

“It is truly nice for us to gather here and discuss various matters,” she uttered.

In addition to iftar, a discussion session entitled ‘Hearing Thoughts’ also took place as the participants waited for the Maghrib time. The discussion allowed representatives from student organizations to convey their aspirations, be it criticism or suggestion.

This particular session garnered a positive response from Dr. Rindra Yusianto, M.T., the Head of the Student Affairs Bureau at Udinus. According to him, this was a perfect momentum for students to engage in a deep dialogue session.

“I hereby ask you to share your thoughts, be it criticism or suggestions. This is for our own good in the future. Besides, this warm situation is a perfect moment for it,” he said.

The event ran in a conducive manner, and students exploited this opportunity by actively sharing their opinions as Maghrib time approached. (Humas Udinus/Ika. Foto: Humas Udinus)
