Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) was once again nominated as the Best Local Television Station. This was the sixth time the award was achieved by PT. Televisi Kampus Udinus (TVKU), on Tuesday, November 11th, 2024.
The award was given by the Regional Broadcasting Commission of Central Java (KPID). At the award, TVKU was among 404 local television stations from various cities in Central Java, including Semarang, Temanggung, and Surakarta.
Not only was it awarded as the Best TV Station, TVKU would also be awarded as the Best Talk Show and the Best TV Media Convergence.
In addition, TVKU also garnered the Second-Best Public Service Announcement (PSA), with its PSA entitled ‘Smart Voter,’ and the Third-Best Female Presenter, which was earned by Indira Majestica.
On that occasion, Muhammad Aulia Assyahiddin, S.S., the Chief of the Regional Broadcasting Commission of Central Java, reported that there were 404 TV Stations in Central Java, which proves that the TV Industry in the region still strives.
“Even after the judging process, there will always be new innovations noticed by the judges. This proves that they can hold their ground and come up with innovations,” she explained.
“TV Stations in Central Java can filter information for the masses. From this, the government should also help develop a healthy atmosphere for the broadcasting industry,” the Chief of the Regional Broadcasting Commission of Central Java explained.
The selection process for each category involves multiple stages and is carried out by a team of judges. This includes on-site visits, and final evaluations, culminating in a live presentation
Consistency as a Part of Excellence
The awards were given to TVKU Semarang at the KPID Award of Central Java. The awards were symbolically received by Heri Pamungkas, S.S., M.I.Kom., the Operational Director of TVKU.
“What a beautiful present to conclude 2024! Hopefully, TVKU will be a TV station with the ability to not only entertain but also empower,” he uttered.
On a different occasion, Dr. Guruh Fajar Shidik, S.Kom., M.Cs., the Main Director of TVKU, also expressed his pride for the TV station to achieve this award six times consecutively. This proves the excellence of TVKU in consistently presenting quality programs to Central Java audience
