The Computer Science Faculty at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) received a visit from the Science and Technology Faculty at Universitas Darussalam (Unida) Gontor. The visitation was conducted in the form of a benchmarking session between these two institutions, discussing computer lab management and international accreditations.

Representatives from Unida were warmly welcomed by the faculty members of the Computer Science Faculty at Udinus in the conference room located on the first floor of the H building. The discussion ran with enthusiasm, with many topics being inquired by both parties on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. 

Representatives from Udinus were led by Dr. Ir. Pujiono, S.Si., M.Kom.,IPM., ASEAN Eng., Eng., the Vice Dean I of Academic Affairs of the Computer Science Faculty at Udinus. He was accompanied by Dr. Edy Mulyanto, S.Si., M.Kom., the Head of the Informatics Department at Udinus, and several other lab assistants. Unida was represented by Faisal Reza Pradhana, M.Kom., the Vice Dean I of the Science and Technology Faculty at Unida. The discussion was participated by roughly 22 faculty members from both institutions. 

Pujiono stated that the benchmarking was an attempt to share experiences with each other between institutions. According to him, the discussion could also be a way to further deepen the relationship and partnership between Udinus and Unida. 

“We hereby welcome Unida for this visitation. Through this benchmarking session, we could learn from each other, particularly in terms of computer lab management. Moreover, Udinus has now possessed labs with the international standard under certification no. ISO 9001:2015,” he revealed.

As additional information, the ISO certificate was issued by PT. Yura Prima Solusindo. It was handed to the dean of the Computer Science Faculty at Udinus in 2023.

Meanwhile, Faisal appreciated Udinus for welcoming them to the visitation. He stated that the discussion served as a milestone to assess and compare specific aspects of computer lab management.

On behalf of Unida, Faisal admitted that Udinus was chosen as the place of this benchmarking session, as the campus had been proved as among universities with excellent lab management.

“Hopefully, through this benchmarking, we can garner new insight, particularly in further improving the quality of our computer labs, so that they can eventually earn international recognition,” Faisal, the Vice Dean I of the Science and Technology Faculty at Unida.
