The new students of the Economics and Business Faculty at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) enthusiastically participated in the 2024 Denok Kenang of the Economics and Business Faculty, which took place on Wednesday, September 11th, 2024. The event was hosted in the Mangga Dua Courtyard at Udinus and was a part of the third day of the 2024 Dinus Inside.

Reza Alvianto, the Governor of the Student Executive Board of the Economics and Business Faculty, stated that this event aimed to improve the awareness of students concerning local cultures, as well as insight from global perspectives.

“Through this event, we want to encourage new students to be more aware of the immense potential of our local cultures through a global lens, which is also the theme of the 2024 Dinus Inside of the Economics and Business Faculty,” Reza uttered.

The Finale of Denok Kenang was participated by six selected contestants. Previously, these six contestants had presented their discussion about the creative economy on the second day of the 2024 Dinus Inside. On this occasion, the contestants showcased their creativity through a fashion show. At the show, they introduced themselves in a variety of ways, including singing, reading a poem, and engaging in a dialog with their teammates.

There were also judges assessing the contestants comprised of faculty members of the Economic and Business Faculty, including Linda Ayu Oktoriza, S.E., M.M., Mochammad Eric Suryakencana Wibowo, S.T., M.M., and Purwantoro, S.E., M.Si., Akt., CA.

The climax of the finale was the debate session between two teams, with the theme being the Creative Economy of Local Cultures from Global Lenses. After the debate, the judges would ask the contestants questions to test their arguments.

The Finale of the 2024 Denok Kenang of the Economics and Business Faculty would appoint three teams as the Denok Kenang. Reza Alvianto hoped for this event to benefit the freshmen with experience.

“Hopefully, the winners of the 2024 Denok Kenang will inflict positive benefits, not only to themselves but also to their fellow freshmen within the Economics and Business Faculty,” Reza concluded. (WTDN. Foto: WTDN)
