Almasah Tsabitah, a Communication Science student at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus), has always dreamed to be a beauty Brand Ambassador (BA) since her school years. Her dream began to form as she often watched beauty influencers resulting in her loving cosmetic products including make-up and skincare.

 

In 2021, Alma, a student of the 2018 cohort, decided to register as a Campus Brand Ambassador from Wardah. After going through hard processes, she emerged as the 2021 Wardah Brand Ambassador of the Semarang Circle.

 

This attractive woman, born on November 6th, 2000 in Jakarta, said that being a brand ambassador was not all about beauty but she was also pushed to be knowledgeable and full of creative ideas. “Some people said that being attractive is all you need to be a Brand Ambassador, that is not entirely true as you need to train your soft skills, particularly public speaking skill,” Alma uttered.

 

During her time as a Brand Ambassador, she made many videos and images on her Instagram account, @almasaahts. She said that becoming a brand ambassador could improve her public speaking skill, her ability in creating content aligning with the market target, and her capability in organizing events such as virtual beauty classes and makeup classes.

 

It may look easy to be a Brand Ambassador, but Alma claimed that she was struggling when she created content for the first time, such as when her contents were not interesting. However, she successfully overcame those obstacles by implementing knowledge she had learned at Udinus including public speaking, time management, and leadership skill to organize an event.

 

Despite her busy activities as a Brand Ambassador, Alma still prioritized her study. This was evident since she graduated in such a short amount of time. She said that proper time management was the main key. 

 

“Alarm functions differently than timeline as it only serves as a reminder, but using alarm made the activity more urgent and I usually do the activity once the alarm rings,” she added.

 

Alma’s achievement was credited to her strong will and determination. She also stated that in realizing dreams, one must work to their limits to see their dreams become reality. “Don’t you ever envy other people’s achievements; everyone has their own pros and cons in their respective fields.
