Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) once again tied a partnership with the Indonesian Children Well-being Foundation (YKAI), with the scholarships given by a Belgian company named, Colruyt Group as the outcome. The collaboration was implemented as a form of the Belgian government’s concern for Indonesian children.
The agreement took place on the first floor of the G building at Udinus on Monday, Augustus 14th, 2023. The YKAI arrival was welcomed by Dr. Kusni Ingsih, S.E., M.M. (Vice Chancellor III of the Student Affairs Sector), Dr. Rindra Yusianto, S.Kom, M.T. (The Head of the Student Affairs Bureau), Dr. Ir. Dwi Eko Waluyo, M.M (The Head of Partnership and International Affairs). Additionally, the YKAI sent representatives as well including, Winarti Sukaesih, S.H., accompanied by two Alumni of Udinus who earned the Colruyt scholarships.
During her greetings, Dr. Kusni Ingsih, S.E., M.M., appreciated the collaboration wholeheartedly. She revealed that countless alumni had gained the Colruyt Scholarships during their studies at Udinus with several of them earning the opportunities to study in Belgium
“Hopefully, this partnership may give all students the opportunities to continue their studies at universities and provide them with benefits during their studies,” she uttered.
The Colruyt Scholarships focused on high school students primarily the tenth and twelfth graders. Additionally, they were also given the opportunity to continue their education at universities with scholarships up until their graduation. Udinus was one of the trusted universities by the Colruyt Group.
Winarti Sukaesih, S.H., the Executive Director from YKAI, explained that the YKAI foundation was fully trusted to implement the Colruyt Scholarships. Through the trust it gained, the YKAI Foundation established a green school located in Belgium. In addition to that, the YKAI foundation was also obliged to report annually regarding the Colruyt Scholarships, and partnering with universities was also required.
“We had handled various kinds of scholarships to students across the nation by granting the scholarships to high schoolers starting from tenth grade all the way to the university.
