Basketball teams at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) successfully accomplished medals at the 2024 National Students’ Accomplishment Week (Pantasi). The medals included two gold medals and a silver medal.
At the 2024 Pantasi, Udinus sent four basketball teams, which would be divided into two teams for both women’s and men’s categories. In detail, the gold medals were earned by the B Men’s Team from Udinus and the A Women’s Team from Udinus. Meanwhile, the silver medal was garnered by the A Men’s Team from Udinus after losing the final round against its fellow team from the same campus.
One of the players from the A Women’s Team, Yedida Putri Anugrah, expressed her pride for the accomplishment garnered by the team. The medal shows the domination showcased by the basketball athletes at Udinus, particularly in the 3x3 category.
“These results are the product of our dedication during our routine training. I shall also appreciate the support given by the coaches and the Student Affairs Bureau at Udinus,” said the Communication Science student.
In addition to Yedida, The A Women’s Team from Udinus was also reinforced by other two Communication Science students, namely, Denissa Rachmawati and Novianti, as well as Amellia Izaha Azindany, a Management student. As for the A Men’s Team, it consisted of two Informatics students, Husna Saiza Malisdira and Satrio Wicaksono, and two Information Systems students, namely, Satrio Wicaksono and Benaya Christavemas Tafui.
Meanwhile, the B Men’s Team from Udinus was reinforced by Daniel Raditya Pradana (an Electrical Engineering student), Darren Alfred Susanto, (a Management student), Fariza Yahya Ananda (an Informatics student), and Wahyu Eka Putra (a Communication Science student).
Boosting Their Campus’ Reputation
Dr. Rindra Yusianto, S.Kom., M.T., the Head of the Student Affairs Bureau at Udinus, expressed his pride for the attainment garnered by the basketball athletes, as they were able to show their dominance in the 3x3 category at the 2024 Pantasi. According to him, these astonishing feats would bring Udinus to be more reputed on the national level.
“This accomplishment can hopefully motivate other athletes at Udinus to achieve more. We, from the Student Affairs Bureau, will appreciate any form of accomplishments be it academic or non-academic by rewarding students with scholarship,” he explained.
In addition to the medals, the athletes also managed to get two individual awards for the 3 Point Contest, with the first place being bestowed upon Ratri Ayu Pramesinta (a Management Student), and the second place being awarded to Denissa Rahmawati (a Communication Science Student).
