Countless accomplishments have been earned by Hera Irnandha, a Postgraduate Management Student at Universitas DIan Nuswantoro (Udinus), through her karate talent. Recently, Hera achieved a gold medal at the 2024 Nation Competition of Karate-Do Institute Indonesia, which concluded on November 10th. 2024.
The gold medal was garnered in the Senior Women’s +68kg Class at the INKAI 2024, which was participated by 1,119 athletes from 29 different provinces or regions in Indonesia. The competition lasted three days at the Ciracas Sports Building, East Jakarta.
Hera explained that she was proud of herself representing the Central Java contingent. Her gold medal attainment was a form of contribution to her hometown, Jepara.
“It is truly a token of pride for me to contribute to my hometown, as well as providing Udinus with a reputation on the national level. This would not have been possible without the support from all parties involved,” she emphasized.
As additional information, the Central Java contingent secured second place after DKI Jakarta, with a total of 15 gold medals, 7 silver medals, and 20 bronze medals.
Prof. Dr. Dra. Kusni Ingsih, M.M., the Vice Chancellor III of Student Affairs at Udinus, expressed her appreciation for Hera’s dedication and commitment to showing her best efforts. Hera is also among many athletes at Udinus with many medals under her belt, which were garnered from national and international events.
“We have supported Hera ever since she pursued her Undergraduate studies here at Udinus, and now she is pursuing her Postgraduate studies on our campus. This support is a dedication shown by Udinus in supporting young Indonesian athletes by facilitating them with academic platforms, while at the same time also encouraging athletes to attain more non-academic accomplishments,” she concluded.
