Her passion for involving herself in organizations has always been in Fadia Zulfa Kanaya, a student at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus), since her middle school years. According to Fadia, organizations were perfect places to improve, contribute, and shape oneself.
To this day, Fadia’s passion hasn’t faded away as she studies in the Management Department of the Economics Business Faculty at Udinus. In fact, she garners even more experience on campus through her involvement in numerous student organizations.
In 2023, which was the first year of her campus life, she was already a member of the Bidik Misi and KIP Awardee Association (Kamadiksi). Fadia was the Coordinator of the Communication and Information Division at Kamadiksi. In the same year, Fadia also joined the Management Student Association as a Media and Communication staff member. The following year, in 2024, she joined the Student Representatives of the Economics and Business Faculty as a Legislature Secretary.
“Through my organizational experience, I have learned many things about leadership, responsibility, and teamwork as a way to achieve common goals without involving personal egos. I believe that student organizations allow students to understand things from various perspectives, solve problems creatively, and bring positive impacts,” she uttered.
Fadia revealed that the student organization ecosystem at Udinus was very conducive and supportive toward the student development, which scopes academic and non-academic developments. In essence, activists are pushed to develop their creativity and make positive contributions.
“To me, student organizations are platforms for us to keep learning and sharing knowledge. This means that every step I take will eventually inspire and benefit others,” she emphasized.
Earning Accomplishments in Student Activities
Fadia is also passionate in participating in various student activities, leading to her abundance of achievements. Recently, Fadia participated in the Independent Entrepreneurship Program of Batch III.
“I was in charge of the marketing stuff for the Kodam team, with its featured product being the Edamame Chocolate. With our effective promoting strategy, our team earned the ‘Best Promotion’ title and was successfully funded Rp. 4 million by CV Myrna. Through this program, I have learned many things about market research, business management, and how to face challenges in production and marketing,” she explained.
Prior to this Fadia, also once participated in the Student Creativity Program of Science and Technology Implementation (PKM-PI). The innovation was in the form of an IoT-based Portable KJA powered by solar cell. It was named ‘Nelayanku.’ According to Fadia, this program left an excellent impression on her.
“This is indeed an impressive experience. Despite having a background in management, I got to learn how to create an innovation and design a device. Our dedication finally came to fruition when we were awarded for having the Best Social Media Account. The collaboration between Economics, Engineering, and Health Science students made our team more diverse, leaving a precious experience,” she continued.
However, Fadia’s passion for student organizations did not stop there despite having accomplished tons of feats. She is committed to yearning for more with her fellow activists. (Humas Udinus/Ika. Foto: Dok. Pribadi)
