Vania Via Eustasia, a Communication Science Student at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus), was selected to be the 2019 Ambassador of Semarang. For the next year, Vania would dedicate her time to promoting the beauty of tourism in Semarang.

Her inauguration as an ambassador took place in a hotel near Simpang Lima Square not too long ago. Vania Via Eustasia alongside her friend, Rafi Fauzi Wibobo, triumphantly surpassed hundreds of other participants in the selection process.

Vania explained that she would promote the tourist attractions in Semarang by utilizing technology. “I have planned several programs to promote the tourism sector with the help of technological concepts. That is by creating vlogs about tourism and culture in Semarang to attract visitors from various places,” she uttered.

She also promised to carry her responsibility as the tourism and cultural ambassador of 2019. Vania admitted that she was happy to be chosen as the ambassador, as she received many benefits from the audition process all the way to the grand finale. “I could not be happier as I could basically outclass hundreds of my competitors. However, the true struggle has just begun, that is serving my purpose as an ambassador by promoting Semarang, particularly in the tourism sector,” Vania revealed.

Meanwhile, Agus Triyono, S.Sos., Msi., the Head of Public Relations at Udinus, hoped this spectacular success achieved by Vania could drive other students to follow her success in their respective fields. “Vania’s accomplishment could serve as a stepping stone for other students to make a name for themselves and the campus by achieving attainment both in national and international competitions,” he concluded.
