“The animation industry will always develop along with the era, particularly the digital era that is nowadays. Pursuing our desired sector combined with sufficient knowledge may grant us many promising opportunities,” Dimas Tofan Bagaskara uttered. Topan, an alumnus of the Animation Study Program at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus), is currently pursuing his career as a 3D Generalist in the Rans Animation Studio.
As a 3D Generalist, Topan joined the studio owned by Raffi Ahmad and Nagita Slavina in 2021. His jobs are to supervise and fix 3D files, which would later be animated. He could at least finish 15 files a day.
“Additionally, I also work on the rigging part so that the 3D models could move. I am usually capable of finishing a rigging file per day,” Topan added.
So far, Topan, born on July 20th, 1998 in Salatiga, has participated in making an animation series entitled ‘Kapten Phoenix’. Topan also worked on the clip video for the animation’s soundtracks. “Moreover, I occasionally make several contents in the Rans Social Media,” he uttered.
Topan, an alumnus of the 2017 cohort, has been pursuing his career in animation ever since his study in the Animation Study Program at Udinus. He added that animators were needed in several companies at the moment. By the time he graduated in 2021, Topan had gotten countless relations in the animation industry.
“Relations were what led me to carve my career in one of the most famous entertainment companies in Indonesia namely Rans Animation Studio. My relations grew even more upon my entrance into the company,” Topan added.
Topan revealed that during his time at Udinus, he learned many things to be implemented in the industry including time management, public speaking, and technical animation which he learned in the Animation Study Program at Udinus, Udinus itself has officially been accredited as superior. According to Topan, this astonishing accreditation would help the students at Udinus to make their way into the industry.
