Zian Alfi Mubarak, an Undergraduate Public Health student at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) successfully earned an international in Seoul, South Korea. He represented Indonesia at the 2019 14th Asia Model Festival in June.

Zian emerged as the representative of Indonesia upon winning at the 2019 Asian Model Festival in Jakarta. This modeling festival featured various models from many different countries in Asia. At the festival, Zian triumphantly claimed third place, which was directly selected by the sponsor at the 2019 Asian Model Festival in South Korea.

During his interview, Zian claimed to be proud to represent Indonesia and be bestowed third place from the international sponsor at an international modeling festival. According to him, making it to the 2019 14th Asia Model Festival was not an easy matter, as Zian had to participate in several phases and emerge as a champion in various grades. “Initially, I went to compete in an audition in Yogyakarta, and I made it to the final stage in Jakarta. In the final stage, I was one of the five candidates representing Indonesia. After I did my best in Korea, I successfully gained third place from the sponsor. That was truly an experience that could make me proud,” Zian uttered.

For roughly a month in South Korea, Zian gained much knowledge and experience regarding the field of modeling. Moreover, he revealed that competing at the 2019 Asian Model Festival would be the very first event in the modeling industry. “I received many forms of training, encompassing how to do a catwalk and be aware of current fashion trends. That was my initial attempt to make a breakthrough in the field of modeling, particularly at the international level. Obviously, I could not help but be proud of myself as I got to meet models from different countries across the globe,” he uttered.

The 2019 14th Asia Model Festival was participated by 75 models from 27 different countries, two of which were India and Indonesia. The festival combined the modeling, fashion, and beauty industries to form a new platform and create new trends lining the constantly changing market. Not only that, but the 2019 Model Festival also aimed to promote and communicate with various cultures and industries from each Asian country. On a separate occasion, Agus Triyono, S.Sos., M.Si., the Head of Public Relations at Udinus, hoped students to keep gaining accomplishments. “Hopefully, this accomplishment of Zian could trigger more students to do the same,” he concluded.
