Aqilla Laela Haya Leksono Putri, an Undergraduate Management Student at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro, does not only possess a high-level intelligence, but she also has an attractive look. Aside from her studies, she fills her free time by working as a model freelancer and a brand ambassador (BA).

Qila has been pursuing this job since 2018 and it was initially unintentional. Upon graduating from high school, she was offered to be cast in a film by the Chief of Batang Multitalent Studio. With her amazing talent, she managed to get the role in the film.

“After I passed the casting session, I met a photographer from Pekalongan and did a few photographs. Thence, several make-up artists were interested in cosmeticizing me and gave me the opportunity to become a model,” she explained.

Qila, a student of the 2018 cohort, was able to do roughly five to seven portrait sessions in a month prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. When she works as a bridal model, she is obliged to wear wedding clothes as per the requirements of the make-up artists.

“As a bridal model, I usually put up a price ranging from Rp.500.000,00 to Rp. 1.000.000,00 depending on the location and the number of attires I must wear. As for fashion products, I normally charge around Rp. 500.000,00 per 10 items.

Not only is she active as a model freelancer, Qila, born on January 13th, 2000, is also a brand ambassador. She even holds a 2-year contract with the owner of Skin Care to conduct portrait sessions. “As a brand ambassador, I commonly advertise the products on the Kei Skincare official account and my personal Instagram account since I also serve as an agent of the products,” uttered the owner of the @aqillahaya Instagram account.

Qila, an active member of the Music Student Activity Unit at Udinus, felt grateful to be able to continue her studies in the Department of Management at Udinus. She claimed that she implemented the knowledge and insight she gained at Udinus in her jobs including public speaking skills and communication skills. “I think a few jobs in the entertainment industry may align with my current major, I could also learn lots of things regarding the business sector,” Qila revealed.

Qila also occasionally encounters many obstacles such as time management. She often struggles to allocate her time especially when she gets a job offer, but she just could not abandon her study. “All in all, it is me who is willing to take the risk and as far as things go, I have not abandoned any campus assignment. Both of my parents have supported me in pursuing my hobbies and passions, therefore, it is all thanks to them,” Qila concluded. (Humas Udinus/Haris Foto: Dok. Pribadi)
