A total of 5124 high school and college students from Indonesia participates in the 2023 Dinus Festival (Dinusfest). The festival, hosted by Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus), acts as a means for students to showcase what they are capable of, both academically and non-academically.

The annual festival was opened symbolically by the performances presented by the E-Gamelan and Dance from Udinus Communities, as well as a drum-sounding marking the beginning of the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was attended by several prominent figures, including Prof. Dr. Supriadi Rustad, M.Si., (the Vice Chancellor I of Academic Affairs), Dr. Kusni Ingsih, M.M., (the Vice Chancellor III of Student Affairs), Rindra Yusianto, S.Kom, M.T., (the Head of the Student Affairs Bureau), and every dean of faculties at Udinus.

Unlike previous years, the 2023 Dinusfest is hosted offline. It will span two weeks, from January 18th to 29th, 2023.

Dr. Kusni Ingsih, M.M., the Vice Chancellor III of Student Affairs, stated in her report that there were 63 contest categories, which consisted of sports, arts, and scientific papers. The participants of the 2023 Dinus Festival (Dinusfest) came from various cities, including Medan, Makassar, Pontianak, Denpasar, Jakarta, Surabaya, and Semarang.

“Compared to previous years, the 2023 Dinusfest sees an increase in the number of participants due to now being the post-pandemic time. Furthermore, the location of the festival also scatters to various places, including the Udinus Sports Center, the Satria Sports Building, the Patriot Sports Building, and many others,” she revealed.

Four of the most prestigious competitions in the festival are the Dinus Application Competition (DINACOM), the DN Robotic Competition, Loptasiku, and the Dinus E-Sport Championship.

Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Supriadi Rustad, M.Si., the Vice Chancellor I of Academic Affairs, also warmly welcomed the 2023 Dinusfest. This festival served as a platform for students to build their character in the field of sports, arts, and scientific papers.

“Through this festival, we would like to present a means for students to unleash their creativity in fair competitions. Thus, students will not only gather knowledge but also character and strength,” he concluded.

The grand champion of this festival consisting of 63 competitions will later be rewarded with scholarships to continue their studies at Udinus.
