Three students from Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) were dispatched to participate in a Training Center (TC) for the upcoming 2023 Sea Games. The Sea Games will be hosted in Cambodia in May.

Those three athletes were called by a coach named Indra Sjafri to participate in a Training Center of the Indonesian National Football Team U-22. In addition, those three students are from the Department of Management, namely Pratama Arhan, Ernando Ari Sutaryadi, and Irfan Juhari. It is planned that the Indonesian National Team will engage in warm-up matches against Lebanon, China, and Tajikistan. For additional information, the Training Center was conducted to find the best players among the participants.

Citing from Kompas.com, Indra Sjafri uttered that he had called various skilled athletes playing in ‘Liga 1.’ Additionally, the PSSI Football Club had also prepared for both international and local warm-up matches before departing for the 2023 Sea Games. Indra Sjafri also claimed that there were two Indonesian players competing abroad, one of which was Pratama Arhan, who has already been registered with the National Olimpic Committee (NOC).

“We have registered Arhan, and the training will start tomorrow in Jakarta. Even so, there will still be promotion and degradation for all 36 players,” Indra revealed.

In the 2023 Sea Games, the age limit is 22 instead of 23. Moreover, all players must be under 22 of age, meaning that senior players are not allowed to participate.

On a different occasion, Dr. Kusni Ingsih, M.M., the Vice Chancellor III of Student Affairs, gave her best support to Arhan, Ernando, and Irfan in participating in the Training Center. She hoped for those three skilled athletes to showcase their best performance in several warm-up matches.

“Hopefully, those three students could compete for the Indonesian National Team in the 2023 Sea Games and lead our national team to success,” Kusni concluded. (Humas Udinus/Alex. Foto: Humas Udinus)
