Languages play an important role in our lives, not only are they used as communication devices, but languages also serve as a gateway to many opportunities in expanding connection. That was what exactly happened to Ariska Andrilla Saputri, an alumna of the Japanese Literature Study Program at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) Semarang. She is currently pursuing her career in the Land of Cherry Blossoms as a Fet System Staff for Select Hotels Group.

Kaka claimed that she had been interested in foreign languages since her childhood days. Her interest in Japanese Language emerged when she watched a Japanese animation known as Anime. This unique language drove Kaka to be curious and learn it more deeply.

“Initially, it is hard for me to learn foreign languages, as they are not my first languages. However, my determination in learning foreign languages has driven me to expand my relational scope into the international scale,” Kaka revealed.

Kaka, who graduated in 2019, was satisfied with her job. She had acquired many priceless and pleasant experiences in Japan. One of those things was being appreciated by Japanese people.

“In Japan, they really appreciate and be thankful to those who learn the Japanese language. That is why I feel that my hard work in learning the Japanese language does not fall in vain,” she uttered.

Kaka, born in Banjarnegara, on November, 27th 1994, also shared tips and tricks to those who are interested in learning foreign languages. It all started with the desire by learning through books, movies, or YouTube videos. For example, reading a book with the language you want to learn.

“Other than movies, you can learn foreign languages by watching animated shows. If you like watching YouTube videos, watch foreign channels. It will allow you to keep entertained while at the same time learning foreign vocabulary,” she explained.

In addition to learning foreign languages, Kaka was also good at seeing opportunities. This was supported by the expanding relations of the Academics Community at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro. This served as a gateway for Kaka to continue her career in the Land of Cherry Blossoms.
