The Scout Unit at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) once again hosted the Dinus Rover Scout Competition (DRSC) VI 2023 to enliven the atmosphere of the 2023 Dinusfest. This event was aimed at Scout Enforcers from high schools across the nation.

The Dinus Rover Scout Competition (DRSC) aimed to create bonds among Scout Enforcers from Indonesia, as well as to serve as a platform for these Scout Enforcers to showcase their skills and knowledge gathered from their respective camps. In addition, this event also featured two categories, including the Scout Quick and Precise Contest, Commando Dancing Contest, Poster Design Contest, Sogempram, and Pioneering.

The Head of the Committee, Popy Erlinda Febriani, explained that the DRSC VI aimed to develop the talents and creativity possessed by the Scout Enforcers from various high schools in Indonesia. In addition, it also served as a platform for them to tie bonds with each other, declare unity, improve their skills and knowledge, as well as develop their sense of patriotism for the country.

“There are many categories in the 2023 DRSC for the participants to choose from,” Popy explained.

Moreover, she also hoped for this event to help participants in garnering accomplishments, and knowledge, and develop their talents, as well as creativity.

“We are also committed to instill leadership mindsets in these participants. We also saw that those participants were very enthusiastic about participating in our event,” she hoped.

The 2023 DRSC was hosted on January 23rd, 2023, in the auditorium located on the third floor of the E building. In addition to the 2023 DRSC, there were also several other competitions featured at the 2023 Dinusfest, including art and scientific paper competitions. With more than 63 contest categories, the 2023 Dinusfest was participated by 5124 students. Moreover, there will also be a concert featuring Denny Caknan in the form of a closing ceremony. The concert will be hosted on January 29th, 2023.

Meanwhile, Dr. Kusni Ingsih, the Vice Chancellor III of Student Affairs and the Instructor of the Scout Unit explained the 2023 Dinusfest served as a platform for high school students to showcase their skills and compete fairly. In addition to high school students, several college students also participated in this prestigious event.

“Every participant will indeed do their best to be the winner. Through this event, they will eventually understand the concept of winning and losing in a competition. From there, they will develop their competitive mindset. As for the winner, we would also like to reward them with scholarships and other interesting prizes,” she concluded. (Humas Udinus/Alex.
