The Indonesian National Volleyball Team triumphantly garnered medals at the 2023 SEA Games. One of the athletes participating in the team was Arneta Putri Amelian, a Management student at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus). As a setter, Arneta and her teammates successfully claim a victory over their opponents with a score of 3-1.

In the volleyball category, the Indonesian National Team managed to bring itself into a triumph upon defeating the Philippines National Team at the Olympic Complex Indoor Stadium, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The match took place on May 14th, 2023, with a detailed score of 25-20, 22-25, 25-22, and 25-23.

During her interview, Arneta revealed that that was the first time she competed for Indonesia at an international sports event. Moreover, she also expressed her pride in achieving the bronze medal with her teammates.  

“At this point, all my hard work and tireless training finally came to fruition. In addition, all our opponents were experienced, particularly Thailand and Vietnam,” she uttered.

At the match, the Indonesian and the Philippines National Teams showcased their aggressive performance in launching attacks. With their solidarity, the Indonesian athletes managed to turn the tide with a score of 25-20. Despite having a loss in the second set, Arnetta and her teammates kept showing their best efforts and emerged victorious in the third and fourth sets.

Dr. Kusni Ingsih, M.M., the Vice Chancellor III of Student Affairs, also expressed her utmost pride for the success accomplished by Arneta and her teammates. Additionally, the Student Affairs team and the whole academic community at Udinus tirelessly support all seven students of Udinus who competed at the 2023 SEA Games.

“After achieving the bronze medal in the Taekwondo sports branch, this bronze medal earned by the Indonesian National Volleyball Team will mean so much for Indonesia.
