The Computer Science Faculty at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) has recently accepted a visit from the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education. This visitation served as a requirement for a department to meet the quality standard. On that occasion, there were two assessors representing the agency. They were welcomed by the Department of Communication Science on Monday, March 13th, 2023.
The visitation took place in the conference room located on the first floor of the H building, with Dr. Suwandi Sumartias, M.Si., and Dr. Syaiful Rohin, M.Si., being assessors from the accreditation agency. The assessors were warmly welcomed by Dr. Drs. Abdul Syukur, M.M. (the Dean of the Computer Science Faculty) and Dr. Rahmawati Zulfiningrum, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom. (the Head of the Communication Science Department).
During his greeting, Dr. Syaiful Rohin, M.Si., explained that the visitation served as an agenda from the accreditation agency to conduct a field review. Moreover, the visitation was also conducted to ensure the authenticity of the accreditation form. In addition, he also uttered that this visitation was done to maintain the bonds between the accreditation agency and Udinus, particularly the Computer Science Faculty.
“During the assessment process, we could work cooperatively, allowing this months of process to be finished coherently. For this visitation, we were not too formal as we sought to exchange ideas and knowledge in improving the quality of a college institution,” he uttered.
Following the opening ceremony, those two assessors alongside the academic community in the Communication Science Department ensured the authenticity of the accreditation form by observing every facility in the department.
On the same occasion, Nova Rijati, S.Si., M.Kom. (the Head of the Quality Assurance Office at Udinus), and Dr. Drs. Agus Prayitno M.M., (a Member of the Quality Assurance Office) were also present in the visitation.
Meanwhile, Dr. Drs. Abdul Syukur, M.M., the Dean of the Computer Science Faculty, also gently welcomed the assessors. As for the visitation conducted by the assessors, the dean hoped for the Department of Communication Science to achieve the best possible accreditation. Moreover, he also wished for those two assessors to instruct them in fulfilling every deficiency so it could be fixed.
“We hoped for the current accreditation to guide the Department of Communication Science to be better and achieve the Excellent accreditation.
