Dozens of student organization at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) participated in a workshop concerning the Student Organization Capacity Strengthening Program (PPKO). The workshop was hosted both online and offline, with participants from Semarang attending the event on the first floor of the H building. While participants from Kediri attended the workshop online.

The workshop, taking place on March 3rd, 2023, featured an expert reviewer, namely, Ir. Mintarti, M.Si. On that occasion, Dr. Kusni Ingsih, MM. (the Vice Chancellor III of Student Affairs), Dr. Rindra Yusianto S.Kom., MT. (the Head of the Student Affairs Bureau at Udinus), and several other student affairs team in various different faculties.

Ir. Mintarti, M.Si., explained that this workshops served as a platform to discuss and solve problems, as well as explain the vision and mission of the PPKO program. Moreover, it also aimed to review proposals from students. Through this workshop, students are expected to understand the importance of the Student Organization Capacity Strengthening Program (PPKO). Additionally, students are also obliged to pour their commitment in conducting this program.

“We hope for these proposals to meet and exceed the enacted standards. Furthermore, we would also like to hope for this program to keep being conducted by our students, instead of stopping after the last PPKO awards,” Mintarti explained.  

Currently, there are 24 submitted proposals, with 21 of them coming from students from Semarang and 3 of them from students from Kediri. In total, there will be 16 PPKO topics uploaded in the near future.

Meanwhile, Dr. Rindra Yusianto, S.Kom., MT., the Head of the Student Affairs Bureau, hoped for an improvement in funded proposals over last year, with five proposals being funded. Through this workshop, students were given guidance and criteria for their proposals to be funded.

“We would like to aim for a higher number than last year. This year, we aim for around ten proposals to be funded. We, on behalf of the whole academic community, will always be committed to supporting these student organizations in conducting the PPKO program,” he concluded. (Humas Udinus/Alex. Foto: Alex)
