CONTINUOUSLY ENHANCING INSTRUCTOR QUALITY: LECTURER FROM UDINUS' FACULTY OF HUMANITY ATTAINED DOCTORAL DEGREE IN ENGLISH EDUCATIONAL SCIENCE

A lecturer Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) had successfully earned his doctoral degree and officially became the sixth doctor of the English Language Study Program. Dr. Muhammad Rifqi S.S, M.Pd., successfully defended his dissertation at the Postgraduate English Education Science Doctoral Study Program at Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes). 
 
The achievement of Dr. Muhammad Rifqi S.S, M.Pd., was celebrated by the entire academic community at Udinus, particularly within the Faculty of Humanities (FIB). He acquired the doctoral degree by defending his dissertation on Tuesday, May 30th, 2023. 
 
During his interview, Dr. Muhammad Rifqi S.S, M.Pd., admitted that he was delighted to graduate and possess a doctoral title in English Education Science. Rifqi’s attainment in acquiring the doctoral title was attributed to all support and effort of his close people. “Having a doctoral degree is such an amazing achievement, all of my work has paid off and I am hoping that this could give a positive impact on Udinus,” commented Rifqi. 
 
Including the current attainment, the Undergraduate of English Language Study Program has a total of 6 doctors and 1 Professor in the Linguistics sector.
 
Regarding the accomplishment, Dr. Raden Arief Nugroho, S.S., M.Hum., Dean Faculty of Humanity (FIB) at Udinus., felt so proud and thanked to Dr. Muhammad Rifqi S.S, M.Pd., for his contribution to improving the instructional quality of Udinus. He also hoped that Rifqi’s achievement regarding the doctoral title not only be a trigger to all of the lecturers not only at FIB but also at the whole campus.
 
“To enhance the vision and mission of Universitas Dian Nuswantoro, we will always give full support to every lecturer who undertakes a higher education. Hopefully, the addition of this new doctor will serve as a solid foundation for the Faculty of Humanities and Udinus to maintain their accreditation while also enhancing public trust,” explained Dr. Raden.
