Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) gave scholarships to three volleyball athletes to continue their studies in the Department of Management at Udinus. Those scholarships are bestowed to athletes competing for Pertamina Fastron, a competitive team participating in the 2023 Final Four Proliga.

Those three athletes are Arneta Putri Amelian (a setter), Indah Guretno Dwi Margiani (a libero), and Ajeng Viona Adelea (an outside hitter). They have garnered a spotlight from the Student Affairs Bureau at Udinus and have made a name for the campus on the national level.

During their interview at the Udinus Sports Center (USC), those three incredibly talented athletes expressed their joy and pride for being granted scholarships to further continue their studies. According to them, the scholarships would help Indonesian athletes in the future. This is because academic skills combined with non-academic skills will bring fortune in the future.

“We hereby express our gratitude to Udinus for appreciating us. Hopefully, we will be able to make a name for the campus in the upcoming Proliga. In addition, we would also like to hope for Udinus to appreciate more Indonesian athletes in the form of scholarships. Thus, they can continue their studies,” Arneta Putri uttered.

As a campus that deeply supports its athletes, Udinus also has a sports facility known as the Udinus Sports Center. Recently, the sports facility, located at Pamularsih St. No. 42, West Semarang Sub-district, has become a training center for various volleyball teams competing in the 2023 Final Four Proliga.

Meanwhile, Dr. Rindra Yusianto, S.Kom., M.T., the Head of the Student Affairs Bureau at Udinus, stated that the athletes would garner accomplishments in the non-academic field. As a result, the campus would facilitate these athletes in the form of scholarships.

“Contributing to Indonesia, Accomplish Globally is our tagline to prosper athletes with the capability of bringing the name of our nation both on the national and international levels,” he explained.

Several other athletes were also granted scholarships by Udinus, including Pratama Arhan and Egy Maulana Vikri, who competed for the Indonesian National Football Team. In addition, Reinaldy Atmanegara, a taekwondo athlete, also garnered countless accomplishments during his time reinforcing the Indonesian team at the 31st SEA Games Vietnam in 2021.
