In the current digital era of advancements, innovations start to gradually emerge among the public on a daily basis. In response to this phenomenon, the Informatics Student Association at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) hosted the 2023 Hi-Technology, from March 13th to 14th, 2023, on the first and second floor of the H building. For additional information, this event was aimed at young developers.

This event was themed ‘Never Stop Exploring Technology.’ At the event, there were fifteen teams consisting of two to three people each that participated in both software and hardware exhibitions. The exhibition mainly showcased various works created by participants, including websites, apps, and hardware.

Yudha Mulyana, the head of the committee, stated that the event was not only an exhibition, but there was also an open talk show and a seminar themed ‘Become a Future Developer of Technology,’ featuring Ariaseta Setia Alam, the Founder of KodingWork, as the speaker.

“Following the open talk show, there will be a selection of the top five best works showcased at the exhibition. The developers of those five works will later comprehensively present their works. This particular session serves as a way of assessing how good the developers are,” he continued.

Yudha also mentioned that this event was a routine annual event. This year is the first time Hi-Technology conducted offline after years of pandemic. On that occasion, Yudha further hoped that the event could be more publicized for the years to come, allowing the event to have more participants.

“In addition to students from Udinus, there were also several participants coming from other universities and high schools. We are open to the idea of sustaining developers to get the publications they deserve,” he uttered.

On a different occasion, Arbian Indra, a student from the SMK 7 Semarang high school, claimed to be glad to participate in the event. He and his teammates developed an app named grobaque. This app mainly serves as a way for small businesses and cart rentals to meet.

“We were initially nervous because this was the first time we participated in such an event. Moreover, other participants primarily consist of college students. However, the event began to turn fun gradually as the committees were friendly and helpful, which made us gather many yet fun experiences,” he concluded. (Humas Udinus/Ika. Foto: Humas Udinus)
